I’m sorry, but this is just beautiful. See how it says “1:1″ AND “A” for architect? Brilliant stuff by Scandinavian Design Lab.

Dear Politician,
If you can show me that you plan to transfer authority, money, and decisions from the federal government to state governments, I will be 5x more likely to vote for you, regardless of your party.
Sincerely,
Smrvl

This describes a good number of the people in my church… we definitely have a mild case of the hipsters.
Interesting, though, that its take isn’t as negative as you’d think.

Couldn’t decide which Sterling Hundley image to link to, because they are all, without exception, amazing.
Just go check him out.

This isn’t accidental and it isn’t art. I arranged all those squares (the white ones) and made copies (the blue ones) as part of a project here at work. Then, going back, I noticed that there was a really interesting energy and saved it, flipped the white upside down to create a kind of reflection effect, and framed it in a certain amount of white.
It doesn’t “mean” anything, but it didn’t happen completely randomly. I made half the original pattern, saw it and decided to preserve it. So I don’t think it’s either accidental or art. Maybe a better term would be “observed aesthetics.”
Anyway, there it is.

Anyone who’s ever tried to contact me by email knows that I am notoriously awful about answering in that medium. I’m okay on the phone, but by email? Forget it. It’s a black hole of hateful forgetfulness.
Today, I realized that when the Bible says, “He who is faithful in little is faithful in much,” it could be talking about email. Each email is a little thing. If I can’t get up the oomph to answer a tiny question from a good friend, how likely am I to be able to tackle the big things in life? Plus, it’s not all about me; I’m here to become more like Christ, who was the picture of a life of little faithfulness, leading to the biggest faithfulness imaginable.
So that’s what I want to start being: faithful in little.
And that includes email.

I’ve been talking for a while about getting together with people to talk about art and God. If I ever stop talking and actually do something about it, I’m going to buy some white paint, some Kraft glue, and a Thomas Kinkade calendar, and post these up in local coffeeshops.

In case you hadn’t heard, the web is turning into a really cool place. Check out Never Mind the Bullets, a demonstration of what HTML5 and a little love for the old west can create.
I was impressed.
