Looking for beautiful reference books

February 14th, 2011 | Filed under: Books, Design | 3 Comments »

I’m starting a new design project … a large reference book. I’m looking for leads on beautiful reference books, from dictionaries to encyclopedias to anthologies. Anyone know of any particularly well-designed, beautiful-to-hold-and-read books I should take a look at?

Anthology: The Great Tradition, edited by Richard M. Gamble, published by ISI Books (also just a great book to own).

Wow, Sam. I just looked at the preview on Amazon, and you’re right. That is one beautiful book. Thanks for the tip!
