Faithful in little

Anyone who’s ever tried to contact me by email knows that I am notoriously awful about answering in that medium. I’m okay on the phone, but by email? Forget it. It’s a black hole of hateful forgetfulness.

Today, I realized that when the Bible says, “He who is faithful in little is faithful in much,” it could be talking about email. Each email is a little thing. If I can’t get up the oomph to answer a tiny question from a good friend, how likely am I to be able to tackle the big things in life? Plus, it’s not all about me; I’m here to become more like Christ, who was the picture of a life of little faithfulness, leading to the biggest faithfulness imaginable.

So that’s what I want to start being: faithful in little.

And that includes email.
