Odd.

I’ve been reading and thinking about this lately: “And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he [Jesus] was hungry.” –Matthew 4:2

And here’s the odd thing: through a very unusual combination of circumstances, I find myself working today without lunch in a coffeeshop full of food that smells great, but unable to get any food even if I wanted to. It’s just a bit convenient that I should be meditating on hunger and then find myself, for the first time in a long time, hungry and unable to do anything about it.

Remind me not to read about Eglon any time soon.
