For the love of a genre — inspired by/in response to this article about Beasts of the Southern Wild. I’m a big fan of magical realism, and more specifically the genre referred to in the article as “American Exotic,” but which I’m choosing to call “Wild American.”

Then it would be Wild Canadian, wouldn’t it? Plus, the antlers should be moose antlers in that case.
